\"P1070140\"<\/a>Suppose An Eyes is an exhibition and series of events I am organising in collaboration with Jacqueline Utley and Flora Whiteley.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The tour starts at\u00a0Galerie Futura<\/span><\/a>, Berlin (11 May \u2013 14 June 2013) then travels to\u00a0Transition Gallery<\/span><\/a>, London (20 July-11 August 2013) and\u00a0Vane<\/span><\/a>, Newcastle (19 September \u2013 26 October 2013).<\/span><\/p>\n

“Suppose An Eyes takes its title from Gertrude Stein\u2019s modernist, abstract text, Tender Buttons (1914), a group reading of which provided the catalyst for the project. As the text approaches its centenary the three artists are testing its relevance to contemporary art practice. They have used it as a catalyst for discussions, cross-referencing Stein\u2019s textual abstraction with their own practices.”<\/p>\n

The exhibition has a programme of collaborative events with artists, writers and academics from each city and a publication in collaboration with Annette Knol will be available.<\/p>\n
