Join us as the Museum of London is taken over by artists, performances, music and activities. This free festival will celebrate London\u2019s place as a vibrant, cultural, global city. Featuring laughter yoga, zine making, music pop-ups, print workshops, live bands, DJ\u2019s and a family party with Disco Loco.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Make, share, come together and have radical fun in a free celebration of Londoners doing it for themselves. From marching bands and tea dances to feasting, gift-giving, skills exchanges and radical DIY, join us for a 12 hour people\u2019s takeover of the Museum of London. FREE. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Scene Everything: The Joy of Sets x Radical Future London
\n10am \u2013 9.30pm
\nWhat does your dream London look like? Join Scene Everything outside the museum entrance to build a large scale, handmade vision of the London we want to see tomorrow. Scene Everything is a multidisciplinary studio led by artist Nicholas Mortimer and designer Joseph Popper.<\/p>\n

The Decorators<\/a>: If Only a Table
\n10am \u2013 2pm
\nThe Decorators are asking you to help them build some furniture. The design collective have created a table with a difference \u2013 you\u2019re the thing holding it up. Work with others to create a social space for sharing food, thoughts and opinions.<\/p>\n

Juneau Projects<\/a>: Music and Making workshops
\n11.30am \u2013 12pm, 2.30 \u2013 3pm, 6 \u2013 6.30pm, 9 \u2013 9.30pm
\nJuneau Projects invite you to join them for a series of pop-up workshops and post-apocalyptic music performances from the Juneau Brothers, taking place across the museum.<\/p>\n

Ruth Beale: School for Commoners

\nSchool for Commoners aims to give people the skills they need to re-imagine elements of public space. The School offers a series of practical and discussion-based workshops, developing techniques for everyday resourcefulness… Sign up at the information desk.

Hoxton Street Monster Supplies<\/a>

\nHoxton Street Monster Supplies is East London\u2019s foremost retailer of supernatural accoutrements (as well as a creative charity to help inspire kids to tell stories). They\u2019ll be peddling their wares around the corner from the Ministry of Stories, who will be running a creative writing workshop for mini-humans on a Victorian Monster theme. Recommended age 8-12. Drop in.<\/p>\n

Barry Sykes: An Introduction to Laughter Yoga
\n11-11.30am, 2-2.30pm, 5.30-6pm & 8.30-9pm
\nBarry Sykes invites you to join him in An Introduction to Laughter Yoga. Taking place in locations around the museum, Laughter Yoga is a sequence of gentle breathing and movement exercises for all ages utilising the power of voluntary laughter for the apparent benefit of body and mind. Also keep an eye out for Barry’s special ‘Activity (and Inactivity) Sheets’ in the museum’s cafes and bathrooms. Sign up at the information desk.<\/p>\n

Strictly Local: Happy Hour with Company Drinks
\n1-2pm
\nCompany Drinks is an art project and community-run drinks company based in Barking and Dagenham. They\u2019ll be leading a lunch-time happy hour, and introducing their young people\u2019s drinks range, Molecular Fizz. Sample drinks, mix flavours, and try Company\u2019s new drink, London Urban Herbal, produced exclusively for the Museum of London.<\/p>\n

Lady Lucy: Bureau of Portraits for Services, Gifts and Favours
\n2 \u2013 5pm
\nLady Lucy will run a bureau for her ongoing portrait exchange project which was most recently displayed as part of the City Now City Future season.

Keeley & Keefe: Coach Trip

\nJoin artist Verity-Jane Keefe and architectural historian Tom Keeley on a Coach Trip to the city limits. This Coach Trip sees the journey itself as the destination, taking a route from the centre of London to its edges, and back again. Soundtracked by readings and interrupted by local landmarks and more, passengers will travel through the landscape of the city at large; looking at the detail and value of both the journey and the city. \nEast London’s wild and wonderful family party Disco Loco brings you 3 hours of music and dance floor shenanigans with DJ Emilia Harmony and host Chu-i plus live cabaret performances from very special guests Ginger Johnson and more.<\/p>\n

The Quietus<\/a> presents

\nJoin The Quietus music magazine in Sackler Hall for a performance by The Fallen Women, an all-women Fall karaoke band followed by The Quietus DJs, including Quietus editor John Doran and special guests.<\/p>\n

The Restart Project<\/a>: Restart Party

\nGet help fixing anything with a battery or a plug at our Restart Party. Bring along your broken appliances and work with Restart Project volunteers to learn how to fix them. The Restart Project is a London-based social enterprise that encourages and empowers people to use their electronics longer in order to reduce waste.
